New @ Essentials™ – 30 April 2012

The Blakey Fire Bowls in metal and terrazzo are two new releases from Essentials that can be found at SL Marketplace or the in-world store. The metal version features 7 scripted finish options (brass aged, brass hammered, chrome brushed, copper, galvanized, gunmetal, and verdigris) and the terrazzo version has 5 scripted finish options (charcoal, cloud, earth, sky, and storm) via dialog menus. The Blakey Fire Bowls are well-suited for both indoor and outdoor decor, featuring simple, classic, clean-line Mid-Century Modern styling. Smaller sizes would be ideal for indoor tabletop use, while larger sizes could be incorporated beautifully into your landscaping. Each is filled with glossy black river rock, scripted to turn the flame on/off, and includes a one prim soft-linked shadow which can be removed or repositioned to your liking.

Inspiration – The Petal Clock

Trolling the other day through the heaps of inspiration pictures that I’ve been hoarding, I came across an image of the George Nelson Petal Clock. The original was manufactured by Howard Miller in 1964 and was sold at that time for only $15.95. The classic, simple shapes and bold MCM colors are in perfect balance – a true masterpiece. This may just be the next clock project at Essentials! Well, my version of it. Then again, there are so many to choose from…

New @ Essentials™ – 24 April 2012

Newly released is the Coltrane Tabletop Oil Lamp from Essentials, featuring simple, classic Mid-Century Modern styling. With it’s sleek, compact lines it’s well-suited for any decor and looks great stacked as a grouping! Each lamp is scripted to turn the flame on/off and to change the metal finish (6 selections – brass brushed, chrome bright, copper, galvanized, gunmetal, and verdigris) via a dialog menu. The Coltrane Tabletop Oil lamp can be found both at the in-world store and on SL Marketplace.

I’ve been playing catch-up since the grand opening, so there’s a lot to show you in this post!

All items currently available at the in-world store have now been posted on SL Marketplace, as well as single items from the FatPacks (the Armstrong Mirror series and the Birdhouse FatPack), and all 7 individual colorways (not scripted for color change) of the Davis Cylinder and Drum Pendants.

The Earth Day Freebie

In honor of Earth Day (22 April) I have a gift in the store for you just waiting to be picked up! The gift features Earth Day artwork from public domain sources, with 6 colorful images that change on touch, wrapped with a narrow metal frame, scripted with 5 color choices – all in just 2 prims. If my math is correct, that gives you 30 combinations to choose from!

Thanks for your love and support!
